On Friday the 25th September 2015, Amelix Telecom hosted a coffee morning in its boardroom which raised over £275 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event was organised by Amelix Telecom Client Development Apprentice Warren Humphreys from East Kent College , saw local businesses on the John Wilson Business Park come together with staff and friends of the Amelix Group join together for the fundraising coffee morning.
The Amelix Telecom board room was converted into a makeshift coffee shop with our friends at HatHats Coffee Company installing a mobile Espresso machine and donating all the coffee for the event. The coffee was complimented by homemade cakes made from Amelix staff from across all the businesses as part of the Amelix Bake Off.
Louis Hurst, Amelix Telecom’s founding Director said “At Amelix we always encourage our staff to give something back and we are big believers in the saying ‘A business that makes just money is a poor business’, I would like to congratulate the entire team on their fundraising effort. Macmillan Cancer Support is a fantastic organisation which means a lot to me as they helped my Mum remain at home in her final days during her battle with Cancer and the work they do benefits so many people’
